What makes a good workout movie?
A strong adversary. An underdog. A kickass soundtrack. A training montage. Fight scenes. One-liners. These are just a few of the elements that make a movie good for working out to. Ultimately, it’s a matter of preference. The best workout movie is one that helps you put down your phone and pick up some weights.
Generally, you want to avoid movies that require paying close attention to the plot, depressing storylines, dialogue-heavy dramas, and plots centered around children or animals.
The best workout movie is one you’ve watched and loved many times. It becomes your workout buddy. Even if you’re flat on your back doing flys or leg lifts, you don’t have to see the screen to know what’s going on.
Until you curate your own catalog of go-to workout movies, Cannonball Catalog is here to help. Every movie on this site has been worked out to by yours truly and is worth a shot.
